Trees

Arbovitae

This tree has a nice natural shape. The trees are drought tolerant and has feathery, green foliage.

This tree is noted for its fall colors and is drought tolerant. There are several species to choose from. The flowers of the Honey Locust provide nectar and pollen for bees.

Magnolia

Once established, the trees need little maintenance. They have large blooms and a fragrant smell. The species is more than 95 million years old.

Maple

There are a lot of species of maple trees. They have a slow growth rate and will grow in most types of soil.

Oak

It is a member of the Beech family and has broad leaves. Oak trees can live for 200 years or more.

Walnut

The tallest is the Black walnut which can reach 100 feet. It is prized for its wood.

Willow

The willow has about 400 species. They grow in moist soil. The leaves are typically elongated but can be round or oval.
